What’s in the Window?
October 11, 2007
You might have noticed that we have a new window display. In addition to the old-fashioned, firetruck-red gumball machines filled with candy corn (incidentally, we have the gumball machines available in two sizes for sale), we are featuring three photographs by a local artist, Denise Parsons (www.deniseparsons.com). For our window, Denise put together a series of three photos called “Trouble in Candy Land”. As the title hints, while on the surface the pictures are colorful and cute, there may be a darker side to the story. We’d love to hear your take on the meaning behind the photos, so post a comment here or send us an e-mail. Denise’s work can also currently be seen through the end of October in the front window of Studio 1313, located at 1313 Mason Street (between Pacific & Jackson).
